Before you start reading this August 2017 newsletter, I’d like to bring your
attention to the fact that there will soon be a Pearlshipping Fanfiction Database,
where you can store your fanfiction for Pearlshipping fans to find easily. I’m
working on it currently, it should be up once the next newsletter appears. There
will be beta reading and story help services provided. The beta reader position
is filled, but we still need someone to provide story help. If you want to know
more about the website and/or contact me, head on over to the Pearlshipping
Vault (username frosty).
Shipping Situation Update:
Fanfiction: Going quite well with 17 new/updated Pearlshipping fics this month,
13 of which I consider good (looking at the summary). This is a great
improvement over last month, not only in amount of fics (55 over 6 months,
compared to 17 in less than a month), but also in quality.
Serebii: Nothing in the last month. Will probably never return.
Vault: On the edge. A few users are active, but most haven’t been active for a
while.
Discord: Very good. If you haven’t joined yet, do so as soon as possible. Active
community and everything

I've been following your fanfiction for some time now. And I LOVE IT. I'm really
hoping great things for this fic.
I loved the innovative Attack-eating, like with Froslass eatng her Shadow Ball to
gain Shadow Armor. I also love the OCs, like Corey and Layla, as well as the
prospect of Darkrai becoming one of Ash's companions. Team Rocket's biggest
operation has us on our heels..
All I can say is, I'm lovin' it.

Pearl Hint of the Month
In “Memories Are Made Of Bliss”, Dawn starts crying when Ash leaves. This is a
very powerful hint, indicating, at the very least, a strong bond between the
two. The only other final episode that compares (for shipping purposes) is the
XY final episode, but even that isn’t as significant because we all already knew
that Serena liked Ash.
This shows that Dawn really cares a lot about Ash.
